MCC Met stands for Minimum Criteria Met. After you complete the Micro1 AI interview your responses are scored across four parameters, and a score of 50% or above marks your profile as MCC Met.
It means you cleared the screening stage. It is not a job offer. The next step is verification, after which your status becomes Certified and you become eligible to be matched to client projects.

What happens after MCC Met
Reaching MCC Met puts you into verification rather than straight into work. Once verified you are Certified, and Certified candidates with a good proctoring score are put forward for open projects and shared with hiring managers. A hiring manager then selects candidates for their specific project, and the selected candidate receives a contract.
So there are two gates after the interview, not one: verification, and then a hiring manager choosing you for a particular piece of work.
Why your proctoring score matters
This is the part most candidates do not realise. Alongside your interview score, Micro1 records a proctoring score based on how the interview was conducted — and candidates are matched to projects partly on that basis. A low proctoring score narrows the projects you are considered for, even if your answers were strong.
What lowers a proctoring score
- Multiple tabs or windows open during the interview.
- Looking away from the screen repeatedly instead of holding eye contact with the camera.
- Other people visible or audible in the room.
- A second device in view.
- Reading from a script — it is detectable in both your eyes and your delivery.
- Any form of cheating. This is the one that ends the application rather than lowering a number.
If your proctoring score came back low
A low score does not always mean you did something wrong — a poor setup, a second monitor or a noisy room can produce one honestly. If it happens, the practical route is to apply to other opportunities and take the next interview under clean conditions: one tab, one monitor, alone in the room, eyes on the camera.
